Lovin the vibrating chair

Today, I put Chase in his little papasan vibrating chair. He got this look of pure glee on his face as though he'd found his happy spot. I was laughing at him and saying "You like that don't you". He looked at me, then closed his eyes and the look on his face was like that of a drug addict getting his fix. Yes, that's right--my child is a papasan junkie. Wish I would've gotten a picture of it. You'll just have to be satisfied with these normal face pictures. :-)

I found my blog!

Andy had set up this blog for me right after Chase was born. I posted once, and then forgot all about it until a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't remember where my blog was! Then, I got the brilliant idea to look through my old emails, and voila! there it was. So now I'm back, and a bloggin I will do!

Chase is growing so quickly. He is 11 weeks old today. At his 2 month appointment he weighed a whopping 11lbs 9oz! He's a growing boy. His latest interests include gurgling, spitting up--especially on his freshly cleaned clothes, kicking his feet while looking at his very high tech mobile, waking up around 7:00 with mommy, hanging out with daddy at night, going to restuarants and taking walks around the neighborhood. He's starting to have more control over his arms, and can almost always get his fist in his mouth when he wants something to gum. However, he is not a big fan of the pacifier as he usually spits it out when it's so rudely placed in his mouth.

The other day, he was being a little fuss pot. I tried everything to get the fussies to stop--changed, fed, burped, cuddled, walked, bounced--you know the drill. He was still fussing. So, I laid him on a blanket, and began to read the paper while facing him so he could see the paper but not me...does that make sense? Anyway, he loved looking at that paper! He cooed and smiled and stared and tried to reach for it. I couldn't believe that the baby who had fussed for the last hour was so entranced by a 35 cent newspaper. Can someone tell me why I have been spending so much on toys when all I needed was the daily newspaper? Alas, the spell of the paper did not last forever, but I did get a small reprieve from the fuss monster.
